Tropical landscapes and vegetation – locations in the Caribbean for photography and filming

Location scout for film locations such as tropical forests, exotic flower gardens and unusual rock sceneries on Caribbean Islands

Production companies come to the Caribbean not only for the great weather all year, with excellent sun light conditions even in the Fall and Winter seasons, but also for the huge variety of landscape locations that can be found on various Caribbean Islands.

Tropical Landscape

Tropical flower gardens and jungle locations with exotic trees and plants, as well as the unique sugar cane fields have been the location backdrop for many international commercial productions, television series and photographic advertising and fashion shootings.
Locations with natural lily ponds in exotic parks, trees with huge stems and lianas are adding a special feel to fashion photo shoots.
Very different are the locations like wide flat grassland, rolling hills as they can be found in St. Martin, or rocky mountains with a European feel in Barbados, St. Lucia or Martinique. They offer a wide view towards the ocean and they are often the backdrop for international TV commercial productions and feature films.

Jungle Waterfall

A very interesting location for picture and still shoots are the natural pools. They are embedded in a natural location like tropical gardens and exotic landscapes and look almost like a naturally developed part of the garden like a pond.
Available pools are either oval or round shaped, or they come in the typical popular 50'ies kidney form.
But with modern 'clean' architecture also becoming popular in the Caribbean region, the very graphical rectangular or square shaped pools are much in demand as film locations or for fashion editorials and fashion catalogues alike.

Almost every island in the Caribbean has at least one golf course and the former English colonies have polo fields and horse race tracks as well. In Barbados for instance those racetracks, golf courses and polo fields are according to international standard and high-class competitions are performed regularly.

Natural Pool

On the Atlantic Ocean side of Barbados, and similar on some of the other islands, are locations with massive rocks in bizarre shapes and with rough or smooth textures. Some are located near rivers and waterfalls that occur in all sizes and formations for instance in Grenada, Dominica and St. Vincent.

Most of them come with natural swimming pools in exotic forests. Rocky cliffs along the ocean remind of northern European or English coasts and you cold be mistaken if it wasn’t for the beautiful sunshine that comes along with it on the Caribbean location.

Beautiful tropical landscapes and wild country sides including everything from jungles, forests to unusual hiking trails, volcanos, waterfalls, and rivers are favorite film locations for international TV production companies and professional video productions as well as for fashion producers for upcoming Summer fashion catalogues, fashion magazine editorials and advertising campaigns.
