Founder of the Caribbean Production Company is Ellen Hoch-Kramer who has acquired, managed and produced a significant amount of film, music, video, television commercials, and photo productions for clients from all over the world.
Her Master’s degree in ‘Visual Communication’ is from Berlin University of Arts in Germany, she has also studied ‘Commercial Art’ in New Haven, CT/USA, and gained knowledge about media business in Paris, France.

Experience in international lifestyle magazine publishing, running a full-service-advertising agency with focus on high-end consumer products and music video productions was the base to build this business.
With this wide range background from creative concept to production and distribution, she relocated to the Caribbean Island of Barbados 25 years ago and established the full-service media production company - French St. Martin followed as a second base - both islands have major international airports with direct flights from various cities in the US, Canada, UK and the rest of Europe.

The business is growing ever since and production contracts for international movies, commercial videos and photo shootings were soon to be executed in Barbados - St. Martin, and other Caribbean islands followed.
A young local Caribbean crew is learning all aspects of media productions and in combination with extensive marketing of Barbados as the ideal location for media productions, this whole new industry on the island is currently flourishing.

Over time the company was producing on any Caribbean Island where clients would find the appropriate place to match script and requested location.
In parallel, an extensive database of locations grew, and so far many successful productions had been accomplished on the Caribbean Islands of St. Martin/Sint Maarten, Barbados, St Barts, St Vincent & the Grenadines, St Lucia, Anguilla, Jamaica, Guadeloupe, Martinique, St Kitts & Nevis, Dominican Republic, Dominica, Cuba, British Virgin Islands, as well as the Bahamas.

Barbados is part of the Southern Caribbean, the second base is St. Martin, a Northern French Caribbean Island. This has the advantage of zero custom fees for imports of equipment and fashion collections at their international entry airport of Sint Maarten. Another advantage is the close range to surrounding islands like St Barts and Anguilla that can be reached by ferries and speed boats or Guadeloupe and Martinique which are accessible by small planes from the local small French airport on the French side. This offers the opportunity to shoot on several islands without additional overnight costs.

Location wise Barbados and St. Martin compliment each other perfectly and still offer the opportunity to shoot on all other surrounding islands, based on script and creative concept. The company has built over time an immense location library of the Caribbean with location images of any possible shoot location.
